"My husband and myself used to go very regularly to the Singapore Garden - many years ago and really liked it then. We happened to be in the area last Sunday and went back. The restaurant has been re-decorated since we last went - it gives it a calmer atmosphere, very nice. We had not booked but were immediately given a table - no problem. "Went to Singapore Garden on a friend's recommendation. The establishment was small but well laid out & clean. The food was exceptional, being Chinese myself and having been to numerous Chinese Restaurants over the years, this was up there with the best - not too greasy or heavy. Great aromatic duck and chew yim ribs. The staff are both friendly and attentive.

If you are in St.John's Wood/Swiss Cottage area, try it and you will not be disappointed."

"My girlfriend and I ate at Singapore Garden last night and were not disappointed. A lovely location away from the hustle of central London (although within 5 minutes walk of Swiss Cottage tube) The restaurant was busy and had a smart but not pretentious look . We ordered Laksa, Shredded Beef and some wonderful Steamed Fishcakes with a portion of rice to share between 2 and it was more than enough. My favourite was the Laksa (having spent a year in Singapore I can vouch for its authenticity!). Not to forget we washed it down with a reasonable (£17) house bottle of red and took a small box home to enjoy today as well! Worth a visit if your near Swiss Cottage and would like to experience some great Asian food. If you don't go for starter, main, side and do what we did (more than enough food) the bill will be under £50 and great value."

"Went here for a late lunch on a Sunday. The place was buzzing and absolutely packed. The food was very tasty indeed. They quality of ingredients used is high, and the service friendly.

I'd go here again with a group for dinner, if its excellent food you're looking for, come here. The lively surrounding is a bonus. Try the bbq spare ribs and schezuan crispy beef!"

"My boyfriend treated me to a meal at Singapore Garden and it was absolutely perfect for our 2 year anniversary. The waiter was lovely and knew the menu well, he told us when to stop ordering dishes too as it sounded all too delicious.

The food was perfect and we were both extremely full and satisfied afterward.

The decor is very relaxed and the atmosphere very cosy especially at this time of year for Xmas. They are nothing pretentious here; what you see is what you get.

I recommend this restaurant to those who just want great food, friendly service and a nice way of escaping."

"Instead of getting our usual take away from Singapore garden, my family and I decided to go and eat at the restaurant. Going on a very busy Friday evening and without booking, we were warmly welcomed and the maitre d, who found us a table within 15 minutes.

I'm quite surprised at the previous reviews as coming from a Malaysian background, this food was so authentic, it was like being back there. I particularly recommend the roti chanai and chicken rice."

"Over the years I have probably been to every reviewed Chicken Rice stall, restaurant in Singapore.

To name a few, The Old Swee Kee, Boon Ton Kee, Five Star and Wee Num Kee, but let me tell you, Singapore Garden has the best Chicken Rice outside of Singapore.

Actually, with their homemade Chilli Sauce it eats as well if not better than the best in Singapore.
